We are hiring for the Youth Development Director, lifeguards, front desk personnel, childcare counselors for summer camp and after-school, and nursery workers.

Youth Development Director

The Youth Development Director develops, organizes, implements, and supervises high-quality Kentucky Licensed School Age, Preschool, and Summer Day Camp programs as assigned, along with programs as assigned.

Requirements:

A BS in education or a Child development field is preferred.
HS Diploma/GED, with provided verification of three years of verifiable, full-time paid experience working directly with children in a department of education, school setting, or licensed/certified childcare program.
CPR and First Aid required.
Obtainment of all State of Kentucky licensing training and certifications under the direction of the Kentucky Division of Regulated Childcare.
Program management experience, budget development, leadership experience, and the ability to continually develop and grow programs.
Previous supervisory experience with meeting deadlines, scheduling, coaching, and developing staff.
Ability to interact with a diverse population.

Camp Counselor

Counselors are willing to plan activities/crafts on a daily basis, go outside & interact with children while monitoring their behavior. You must be constantly aware of your surroundings while following and enforcing rules & regulations. Must be a team player, time oriented, and quick thinking.

Experience with children preferred.

Pay rate: $13 an hour

schedule: Monday - Friday 6am-6pm

(no 12-hour shifts)

Requirements:

Must be 18 and older with a high school diploma or G.E.D.
Must pass a background check
Must complete required trainings within the first two weeks of being hired

Front Desk Personnel

The Front Desk Staff will be responsible for different receptionist and clerical duties. Some of the duties include answering questions, offering customer support, and guiding and advising members/guests. As a YMCA staff, you should promote the mission and philosophies of the Y while assisting our members/guests.

Responsibilities:

Greet, communicate with, and welcome members/guest
Answer all questions and address complaints
Answer all incoming calls, and redirect them when needed
Sign up members/guests for membership or programs
Receive letters, and packages and send them to the appropriate destination
Report in a timely manner
Maintain an appropriate, professional appearance

Hours: Monday - Friday 5AM-9 PM, Saturday 6AM-6PM, Sunday 12pm-6pm

Flexible hours

Part-time
Availability to cover other shifts if needed

Availability for weekends and nights

Lifeguard

Join our team of dedicated Lifeguards and help create a fun, safe aquatics environment: CHANGE LIVES. INCLUDING YOURS.
As a Lifeguard at our YMCA, you will have the opportunity to assure swimmer safety and create a positive aquatics atmosphere for pool users.

Requirements:

Must be at least 16 years old
Able to pass a swim test
Attend all trainings

Responsibilities:

Ensuring safety in and around the pool area
Responding appropriately to emergencies
Maintaining a clean, safe pool area
Communicating appropriately with parents, children, elderly participants and all members

Hours: Monday - Friday 5AM-9 PM, Saturday 6AM-6PM, Sunday 12pm-6pm
