Dear YMCA Staff and Our Community:
I hope this letter finds you well during this busy holiday season!
I want to thank all our staff and community for being great supporters of the Barren County Family YMCA this past year. I pray this past year has been better for everyone as we transition out of the pandemic we faced. It feels terrific to get life back to normal!
I always find myself reminiscing about this time of year. Whether it be over fond childhood memories or how I spent many holidays as my children grew. Watching their excitement year to year made every second if it worth it.
However, this year I find myself reminiscing about 2022 and how thankful I am for my family, friends, staff, and community. Barren County is a blessing to be a part of, with so many big hearts eager to help and lend a helping hand any chance they get. Every single one of you does not go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The mission of the Barren County Family YMCA is "To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for ALL."
As a nonprofit, we are committed to making our community a better place to live, work, and play. We are thankful for our members and community who continuously help us achieve our mission.
Happy Holidays & Best Wishes,
Tara Bailey, Executive Director - Barren County Family YMCA
Monthly Spotlight:
Tina Jo Shirley is truly an inspiration for us all going into the new year. She began her membership with us 5 months ago and has since made a point to be here almost every day and never fails to brighten the day of everyone she sees. She embodies the persistence, faith, and willpower the YMCA wants to inspire in our community.
